Dear PBL Members and Advisers:
The 48th Annual State Leadership Conference of Arizona Phi Beta Lambda will be held on Friday and Saturday, April 13 – 14, at Arizona State University in Tempe, AZ. The conference will begin on Friday with the Opening Session and the first session for written objective tests and will culminate on Saturday evening with our annual Awards Banquet. The State Leadership Conference is the premier event in Arizona PBL, and all members and advisers are strongly encouraged to attend.
Members also planning on attending the PBL National Leadership Conference (NLC) to be held on June 23 – 26, in Baltimore, can guarantee their placement in the event(s) of their choice at the NLC by placing in competitive events.
All conference activities will be held on the Arizona State University Tempe Campus in the W.P. Carey School of Business, BAC building and the Memorial Union (MU), except for the optional social event on Friday night (TBA). Please see the enclosed registration materials for directions, parking information, a preliminary schedule of events, and registration information. A final schedule of events will be sent to each chapter prior to the conference. Registration entry forms will be due from each chapter on March 9. The receipt deadline for payments for conference registration fees will be April 6.
Please note that all members competing in events that include both a written test and a performance will need to complete their tests during the first testing session offered on Friday afternoon. They should not register for those events if they cannot attend on Friday. Please refer to the preliminary schedule and guidelines for more information.
We will be following the FBLA-PBL Dress Code for all events on Saturday, so please inform your members that professional attire will be required. Business Casual (e.g. polos and khakis) will be appropriate dress for all activities on Friday.
