Phi Beta Lambda (PBL) is the college version of Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda (FBLA-PBL), a nonprofit association with around 250,000 students preparing for careers in business. The first PBL chapter was established in Iowa in 1958, and the first Arizona PBL chapter was founded at NAU in 1969. Arizona PBL has 5 chapters throughout Arizona at the following schools:
- Arizona State University
- Central Arizona College
- Eastern Arizona College
- Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University
- NAU – Extended Campus at PVCC
Competitive Events Program
PBL’s National Awards Program rewards your excellence in business and career-related areas. Through our competition at the State Leadership Conference, you will compete in events testing your business savvy! Prove yourself, and you’ll have the opportunity to compete (and win!) at the National Leadership Conference each summer. Check out the competitive events guide and take your business knowledge to the next level!
These conferences are awesome! They allow our members to compete in over 50 business-related events and win recognition on the local, state, and national level! They also let you connect with business professionals and to network with your peers. If this sounds great, THAT’S BECAUSE IT IS!
Funding & Endorsements
Arizona PBL is funded by membership dues, conference fees, and corporate and individual contributions. We are endorsed by:
- Association for Career and Technical Education
- International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education
- National Association of Parliamentarians
- National Association of Secondary School Principals
- National Business Education Association
- U.S. Department of Education
Arizona PBL is recognized by the Arizona Business Education Association and the Arizona Business Education Advisory Council. As you can see, we’re pretty legit!
FBLA-PBL is the largest non-profit contributor to March of Dimes. The mission of March of Dimes is to “…improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality”. We support their efforts and urge local chapters to support the March of Dimes through their own great efforts.
