Arizona Phi Beta Lambda Food Drive 2015

This weekend  October 24, 2015, we will be collecting non-perishable food items to support the awesome work that St. Marys food bank does. Please bring your items to Fall leadership and help Arizona Pbi Beta help St. Mary’s feed the needy in Arizona. A brief History recap of St. Mary’s Founded in 1967, St. Mary’s is the world’s first food bank. The idea came to founder John van Hengel when he was volunteering at St. Vincent DePaul, serving dinner to those in need. Arizona Phi Beta Lambda Tours Amazon

Today was an exciting and fun day! We took an Amazon Fulfillment Center tour with our friends from Phoenix College and Central Arizona College. We were able to see and learn what happens “backstage” after we click the place your order button on their website! (Erica Pena –VP of Marketing NAU PBL) Comments from Attendees E.j. Peña  Fun marketing fact behind Amazon’s name logo: The smile has a double meaning! It’s also an arrow from A to Z meaning they have everything from A to Z! Richard Ellis : That place was huge!! March Of Dimes Prescott Valley Recap

September 12th, members from Embry Riddle Phi Beta Lambda and Northern Arizona Extended Campus participated in walking and raising money for March of Dimes. The members who walked in the March of Dimes for Embry-Riddle were , Adin Herzog  Mwangi Karuri  Michelle Bennett, Mika Davidian, Emma Volovski, and Josh Turney. Mark Creech represented Northern Arizona University extended Campus , although he did not participate in the walk, However his team raised $175. DeVry: Networking 360

FBLA-PBL Would like to formally invite all of the Arizona PBL chapters to participate in the DeVry University Phoenix PBL chapter sponsored Networking 360 event titled, “The Diamondbacks Networking Celebration”. The event will take place on Wednesday September 30, 2015 at 5 pm. Our seating will be in the Coors Light Strike Zone section 401. The goal of this event is to raise money for the Arizona Cancer Foundation for Children with pediatric cancer. The cost of each ticket is $20. $5 of every ticket sold will go to benefit the Arizona Cancer Foundation for Children. While helping raise money for pediatric cancer all guests will have the opportunity to do some networking. Northern Arizona Extended Campus Raised $175 for MOD 2. Embry Riddle had 6 walkers in the Prescott Valley MOD walk 3. Phoenix College had 7 attendees at the Amazon Tour 4. CAC had 2 students drive over 60 miles to get to Amazon Tour. 5. ASU, Phoenix College and Northern Arizona Extended Campus had members join committee. St. Mary’s Food Drive

September 19 to October 24 ,AZ FBLA-PBL will be having a Food drive to benefit St.Mary’s Food Banks. St. Marys will provide  each chapter with donation boxes to place around your campuses. For delivery of the boxes : Contact Mark Creech (520-450-8149) At  fall leadership conference held at NAU extended Campus Oct 24, we will collect all  food items. We would like every AZ FBLA-PBL member to bring 4 non perishable food items with them to the conference. There is also a website set up for monetary donations. National Officer Training: A Memoir

Mikayla ___________________________________________________________   Good morning LAX. Sitting in the passenger seat of my mom’s car, I could see the glowing letters of the Los Angeles airport. Stepping out onto the sidewalk in my navy blue officer polo, I knew that this would be the start of something amazing. I was on my way to Reston, Virginia. After being elected the new National Western Region Vice President for FBLA-PBL, I had a few weeks to contact my home state senator and local congressman for a meeting in D.C. during the duration of our officer training.
